Student Resources

Graduate Student Computer Lab

The Department of Psychology offers a computer facility available to all graduate students.  The computer is available for student’s course work, practicum, teaching assistantships, and other training or professional responsibilities. The computer has software network capabilities to aid in word processing (Microsoft Word), data analysis (SPSS), research (direct access to library holdings), Internet access, and email.

School Psychology Library

The Psychology Department maintains a "library" which houses all the assessment equipment, intervention materials, and general reference books. The students may check out these psychological and educational tests, as needed for courses, practica, and teaching duties. New tests are purchased by the program annually.

Office Space

All Psychology graduate students are assigned shared offices in Pervical Stern Hall. Office space is assigned to students during their first year of training.

Colloquium Series

Throughout the semester, distinguished psychologists and graduate students from outside the university as well as from Tulane University make scholarly presentations through the Department's colloquium series. This provides an excellent opportunity for learning, regardless of the area of the psychologist. Graduate students are expected to attend these colloquia, which are held on Friday afternoons at 12:00 p.m.
