The Department of Psychology at Tulane University is committed to excellence in research and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We are the largest undergraduate major in the School of Science & Engineering, and have the resources to offer graduate training at the doctoral level in a variety of sub-disciplines. We also contribute to interdisciplinary majors including Neuroscience, Early Childhood Education, Cognitive Studies, Women's Studies, and African and African Diaspora Studies. We strive to develop and maintain programs of excellence in research that contribute to our understanding of the social, developmental, evolutionary, and biological factors that underlie behavior. Our primary objective in blending our scientific and educational mission is promoting new knowledge in the discipline of psychology through programmatic research while providing a rich training environment for our graduate and undergraduate students.
